I am so surprised to see the negative reviews. I’ve used my Chantal pots for years and LOVE them. They especially make a difference when making tomato-based dishes and sauces. The acidity reacts with metal pots and changes the flavor. The enamel coating on the Chantal pots protects the flavor and makes food taste better.
If you have trouble cleaning the pots, boil a small amount of water and baking soda and they are easy to clean without scrubbing.
If you want to try out a piece of Chantal cookware before you spend a lot on the whole set, you can sometimes find them at Marshall’s. I think they are seconds, but still good cookware and a good price.
I haven’t tried the omelette pan, but would imagine the enamel would not be the best choice for cooking eggs. I use a Calphalon greenware omelette pan that is not stick, but supposedly a safer coating.
